Overview

A router needs to do the following things to be of use for the Aivero On-prem deployment:

• Provide a DHCP server
• Allow for assigning a fixed IP to the server machine
• Allow specifying a DNS server that is advertised to all DHCP clients
• Allow specifying a NTP server that is advertised to all DHCP clients

Generic steps

1. Determine the IP of your server machine
2. Access your router's admin interface
3. Configure a fixed lease/ip address for your server machine
4. Configure the IP address of your server machine as a DNS server on the router
5. Configure the IP address of your server machine as a NTP server on your router
